Many groups and organizations are working night and day to capture the heart, minds, and support of the Tea Party, but, who and what is the Tea Party?

The Tea Party is an organic movement that sprang into action after the massive bail outs of 2008. Citizens disgruntled by the aggressive over-reach of government into banks, auto companies, etc… then drawn into focus by the famous rant of Rick Santelli inviting Americans to a Tea Party in Chicago, the tea party sprang up.

When we decided to re-brand Resistnet to Patriot Action Network we had discussed the opportunity to change our name and branding to something with Tea Party in the title. We chose to go a different direction because anyone can name themselves Tea Party and attempt to capitalize on the name and movement. That has never been our intention. Our core principles are the glue that unites each of us in this movement. We may not all agree on everything but at the core of our beliefs is a common thread that every Tea Partier agrees with!

DEMAND ERIC HOLDER’S RESIGNATION!

UPDATE: More than 50,000 have already signed the petition!

Attorney General, Eric Holder’s tenure has been pockmarked by deception, lies and inconsistencies,   culminating in the botched “Fast and Furious” firearms sting that ran from September 2009, until December 2010 and saw U.S. officials “walk” more than 2,500 assault weapons into drug-infested corridors of Mexico, only to lose track of the guns. Tragically, those weapons have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Mexicans and U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry.

Dissatisfied with Holder’s lack of honesty, accountability over the “Fast and Furious” scandal as well as increasing public demand for answers, 40 Republicans sent a letter urging President Obama to ask for Holder’s resignation.

Obama discounted the letter and in fact, publicly endorsed Holder in hopes the issue would fade away. That hasn’t happened. Public pressure has continued to intensify, and now the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has summoned Holder to testify on February 2.
