Andrew Breitbart joined us on the Tea Party Express many times over the past few years. Breitbart came on our blog talk radio show. He was a friend and a comrade! Personally I am in shock today. Mr. Breitbart will most definitely be missed. His departure will leave a hole,  a major void. Breitbart was like a meteor racing through the sky. He was motivated and driven and his knowledge of working the media, internet marketing, and news was phenomenal.

It was reported that Breibart died while walking. Apparently he has had heart issues discovered about a year ago.

Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King said several members of Congress warned about the Obama administration’s empty health care promises filled with rhetoric.

“I’m steamed,” King told TheDC of the controversy. “We saw it coming. A number of us in Congress warned of it. The Catholic Church, as I recall, set aside their principle of subsidiarity and set a higher priority on the principle of social justice. They wanted to get health insurance in to people who needed reassurance on their health care. I think that, because of that, they bought into the Stupak Amendment and the argument that there wouldn’t be abortion funded or required in Obamacare. I knew better. I saw that.”

Every time a Republican candidate is asked about contraception, he should tell the questioner that they’re missing the point. This debate is about freedom. It’s about conscience. It’s about the hugely unpopular Obamacare legislation. It’s about a president who doesn’t respect the freedom of religion. It’s about big government sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong.That’s our turf.

It boils down to this. When the left attacks, a conservative needs to stop and look at his feet. If an individual liberty argument can’t be made from where he’s standing, then he shouldn’t defend himself. He should step back and attack from his home turf.

By now many of you no doubt feel a bit battle worn. It is important to refuel and rest in order to be bolstered once more to continue the fight. The following video is such an inspiration to me that I had to share it with you. Our newest admin, Mike Childs, sent this to me and I realized as I was watching it….I really needed it. I figured if I feel this way, possibly, you do as well.

We must stay in the fight. We must beat Obama and his cronies. We must win the SENATE this year! We must take back our country! I am counting on each of you to do your part. We must all make a commitment that we will do everything in our power to affect the end result. This must start where we live, in our neighborhoods, our communities, with our friends and acquaintances. If every person will start making an impact where they are every day we can and win take back America. Are you with me? My Name is America and I am America!

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America

“Under God” is under attack once more and again, it is happening in ultra liberal Massachusettes.  This time it is a couple in Acton, MA – both atheists, of course – who have sued their local school district over the phrase, saying their three atheist children are offended by it and made to feel excluded.  Curiously, the children are middle school and high school age, leading one to wonder why they are just now speaking up about their so-called offense.

More importantly, one must wonder how much longer the attacks on Christianity in America will last.  For indeed, the attempts to rid the Pledge of Allegiance of “under God” are nothing more than attempts to rid America of Christianity.  Religious freedom is attacked openly, as recently seen in the current mandate for Catholic institutions to provide contraception, abortifacients and sterilization to employees “free” – even as it is against their most deeply held beliefs.  The government has gone too far and will see the faith family in America rise up to defend religious freedom.

The Greatest Generation gave us the “under God” phrase specifically as a way to let the world know that the Christian religion provided the underpinnings of America’s foundations.  That generation knew that an acknowledgment of God ensured the maintenance of freedom itself.  In fact, that was the reason they added it.   But, even more than that, they saw a vibrant Christianity in America as a defense against communism and by default, any oppressive regime. 

“Spiritual values are every bit as important to the defense and safety of our Nation as are miltary and economic values,” stated Senator Homer Ferguson on February 10, 1954, the day he introduced the bill to add “under God” to the Pledge.

Such thoughts are unthinkable today, much less ones that a United States Senator would articulate before Congress.  How far we have come!  Senator Ferguson’s sentiments are validated today.  Although America boasts 300,000 churches, we still abort millions of babies, homosexuality is becoming normalized, drug use is rampant, unwed pregnancies have reached 70% … the list goes on. 

Our only hope is God.  “If we ever forget we are one nation under God, we will become a nation gone under.”  This is what Ronald Reagan said and it is more true today than ever.

She goes on to say they need to win back the House…. well, all I can say is not on my watch…How about you Patriots?

Many of you are not happy with the cancellation of FreedomWatch, and you have sent emails to my Fox colleagues expressing that unhappiness. In television, shows are cancelled all the time. Two of my former shows have been cancelled, and after each cancellation, Fox has rewarded me with more and better work. This cancellation–along with others that accompanied it–was the result of a business judgment here, and is completely unrelated to the FreedomWatch message. It would make a world of a difference for all of us, if you would KINDLY STOP SENDING EMAILS TO FOX.

I am well. Your values are strong. I will continue to articulate those values here at Fox. But the emails many of you are sending are unfairly interfering with my work and that of my colleagues here. The emails even violate our values because they interfere with the use of private property. I have accepted the cancellation decision with good cheer and a sense of gearing up for the future. You should as well.

As a favor to me, and as I have asked this past weekend, PLEASE STOP SENDING EMAILS TO MY COLLEAGUES AT FOX ABOUT THE CANCELLATION OF FreedomWatch; and please stop NOW.

US Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg tells Egyptians: Don’t look to the “OLD US Constitution” for guidance in drafting a new constitution. Justice Ginsburg holds in high esteem the  constitution of South Africa and Canada.

So, Patriots, as you vet candidates, work on campaigns for House, Senate, Presidential, and local offices,  I encourage you to pay close attention to those in the judicial branch.

The judicial branch of government is the most overlooked segment of our elections. I remember in 2010, numerous individuals wrote me, down to the wire, on the General Election because they had completely forgotten about judges on the ballots. Many had no idea whom they should or shouldn’t support. How many judges won by default? How many were voted on and approved by well intentioned individuals that really had no clue about the Judge on the ballot?

We must ensure that this year is truly the year of the Tea Party. How do we do that? We pay attention, we vet candidates in all branches, we ask questions, seek truthful information, and make informed decisions. Don’t wait to the last minute to realize you haven’t considered the judicial branch in the upcoming elections.

2012, the Year of the Tea Party!

I ended the day concluding that Donald Trump helped “wag the dog.” Allow me to explain.

Thursday’s much-anticipated House Oversight Committee hearings saw Attorney General Eric Holder face intense questioning over the “Fast And Furious” gun-running disaster and his knowledge as events unfolded. “Fast And Furious” is one of the worst episodes of law enforcement in recent memory, with hundreds dead including a U.S Border Patrol agent at the hands of Justice Department supplied weapons.

The hearing took place under the threat of “contempt of Congress” charges from Chairman Issa because Holder refused to cooperate with the investigation. On top of this, a new story broke indicating that Holder looked the other way when DOJ agents were caught accepting bribes. Everything seemed primed for Holder to finally face some accountability. But then something else happened that Drudge thought warranted dedicating everything “above the fold” on his website to it for much of the day. What was that story?

Nowhere on Drudge could be found even a mention of the Holder hearings that were under way. As the noon hour approached, I was confident that Rush Limbaugh would pick up the Holder hearings. While I didn’t hear all three hours of Rush’s show, Rush clearly had other topics on his mind. His website today features no stories on the Holder hearings.

Of course, the liberal media are giving Holder a free pass. It’s so bad that much of the reporting I saw focused on Holder’s insistence that he “knew nothing” and emphasized the harsh treatment he received from members or Congress.

+ + How Trump Helped “Wag The Dog”

Perhaps it was all coincidental, but the timing of Trump’s annoucement served to “wag the dog” for the day’s news cycle. The website UsingEnglish.com says “wag the dog” means “to purposely divert attention from what would otherwise be of greater importance.”  The expression comes from “the saying that ‘a dog is smarter than its tail’, but if the tail were smarter, then the tail would ‘wag the dog’.” The tail (Trump’s announcement) wagged the dog (Obama/Holder scandal).

In response, I’m issuing a challenge . It’s two-fold.

Challenge #1 — Overcome the (conservative and liberal) media’s blackout on “Fast And Furious” and spend some time reading up on this issue. Liberty News has posted what I believe is one of the most thorough overviews of yesterday’s hearings and the “Fast And Furious” fiasco. Challenge #2 — After reading up on “Fast And Furious,” if you are outraged by what has happened and the lack of accountability in the Department of Justice, then sign Grassfire Nation’s “Holder Must Go” petition by going here.
