Obama has used the healthcare law to mislead and dupe the American people. At the crux of the controversy from the start was the abortion language and the blue dogs that held out their support till the final hours before ObamaCare passed. Many negotiations and many moons have passed and now the latest scam on the American people is the contraception rule that passed recently. The latest has sparked controversy between the Obama Administration and the Catholic Church. But is this strictly Catholic church/evangelical issue? Steve King said several members of Congress warned about the Obama administration’s empty health care promises filled with rhetoric. “I’m steamed,” King told TheDC of the controversy. “We saw it coming. A number of us in Congress warned of it. The Catholic Church, as I recall, set aside their principle of subsidiarity and set a higher priority on the principle of social justice. They wanted to get health insurance in to people who needed reassurance on their health care. I think that, because of that, they bought into the Stupak Amendment and the argument that there wouldn’t be abortion funded or required in Obamacare.... ...

“Under God” is under attack once more and again, it is happening in ultra liberal Massachusettes. This time it is a couple in Acton, MA – both atheists, of course – who have sued their local school district over the phrase, saying their three atheist children are offended by it and made to feel excluded. Curiously, the children are middle school and high school age, leading one to wonder why they are just now speaking up about their so-called offense. More importantly, one must wonder how much longer the attacks on Christianity in America will last. For indeed, the attempts to rid the Pledge of Allegiance of “under God” are nothing more than attempts to rid America of Christianity. Religious freedom is attacked openly, as recently seen in the current mandate for Catholic institutions to provide contraception, abortifacients and sterilization to employees “free” – even as it is against their most deeply held beliefs. The government has gone too far and will see the faith family in America rise up to defend religious freedom. The judicial branch of government is the most overlooked segment of our elections. I remember in 2010, numerous individuals wrote me, down to the wire, on the General Election because they had completely forgotten about judges on the ballots. Yesterday was one of the most bizarre days in my 11 years here at Grassfire. I started out the day thinking that one of the biggest stories and scandals of the entire Obama administration was about to break wide open. I ended the day concluding that Donald Trump helped “wag the dog.” Allow me to explain. Thursday’s much-anticipated House Oversight Committee hearings saw Attorney General Eric Holder face intense questioning over the “Fast And Furious” gun-running disaster and his knowledge as events unfolded. “Fast And Furious” is one of the worst episodes of law enforcement in recent memory, with hundreds dead including a U.S Border Patrol agent at the hands of Justice Department supplied weapons. The hearing took place under the threat of “contempt of Congress” charges from Chairman Issa because Holder refused to cooperate with the investigation. On top of this, a new story broke indicating that Holder looked the other way when DOJ agents were caught accepting bribes. Everything seemed primed for Holder to finally face some accountability.
